LEWISBURG, (Pa.)—While Packwood House Museum is in the midst of preparing for its most popular fundraiser, the annual Attic Tag Sale, its tables are not nearly full enough yet! The Museum is in dire need of contributions in order to put on as spectacular a sale as ever! Donations are being accepted now of all of the things you are clearing out of your own attic – needed in particular at this time are books of all kinds, especially popular fiction, biography, history, gardening, children’s books, and art. Other items that are needed include linens, lamps, artwork, jewelry, collectibles, glass, china, kitchenware, furniture, and home décor (please, no more holiday décor!) – anything except for televisions, computers, and clothing, although the Museum does accept vintage accessories. Only electronics and appliances that work will be accepted.
Please pass the word along to anyone who is moving – we can take the items you decide not to take with you. Donations are accepted Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds will directly benefit Packwood House Museum, and all donations are tax-deductible. The sale opens on February 23 and runs daily (except Sunday) through March 5. Donations will be accepted through February 27. The TourCenter is located at 15 North Water Street in Lewisburg. For more information concerning the Packwood House Museum or the Attic Tag Sale, please call the Museum at (570) 524-0323.
