LEWISBURG, (Pa.)—Packwood House Museum would like to invite the public to a book signing event on Saturday, March 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the museum’s Tour Center.
Margaret Murray Thorell, PhD, will be available to sign copies of her book, “Sunbury.” Thorell, who moved to Sunbury in 1971, worked with the Northumberland County Historical Society and Sunbury Revitalization, Inc., to gather the images and information in the book. [Read more…]
LEWISBURG, (Pa.) – Packwood House Museum will hold their 28th Annual Champagne & Orchids Dinner on Saturday April 5, 2014. Raffle tickets for the fundraiser are now on sale in the Museum’s Tour Center at 15 North Water Street, Lewisburg, for $5.00 each or six for $25.00. The winning ticket holder will share a seven-course gourmet meal with seven guests in the Museum’s Dining Room. LEWISBURG, (Pa.)–The Friends of Packwood House Museum have announced that their annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 11, beginning at 2:30pm in the museum’s Tour Center, located at 15 North Water Street in Lewisburg. The meeting will include election of officers for 2014-2015, a report on the last year of fundraising activities, and any other business as needed. LEWISBURG, (Pa.)—Packwood House Museum is pleased to announce their participation in the second annual Raise the Region campaign, organized by the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania to help communities in Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties. Raise the Region 2014 is a “unique, online giving event that provides an opportunity for people who care about their community to come together and raise as much money as possible for local non-profits.”
LEWISBURG, (Pa.)–Packwood House Museum will hold a free Valentine’s Day Card Workshop on Friday, February 7th, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Museum’s Tour Center. The workshop will be lead by Susan Colon, who will show participants how to make beautiful, artistic valentines using various papers, decorations, and rubber stamps.
